Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What are wax melts?

Wax melts are fragranced pieces of wax you put into a wax melter/burner/warmer to make your living space smell great.

How much do I use?

Use about ½-1 ounce of wax at a time.

How do I discard? How do I change my wax?

Turn off your melter and allow the wax to solidify.  If you have a removable melting dish, you can put the dish into the freezer for about 5 minutes.  When removed from the freezer, the solidified wax should pop right out!

Help, my wax spilled!

If it is on a wall, counter, cupboards or hardwood floor take a credit card and scrape off what you can.  Then take a hair dryer and slowly heat the spilled wax. With paper towels wipe and blot the softened wax.

For carpet, place a bag of ice cubes over the spill to chill it and the wax might come off after it solidifies.  Another option is to take an iron and a towel, place the towel over the wax on a low setting, with no steam, go slowly over it.  The hope here is that the wax will lift from the carpet onto the towel. This technique may take a few passes.

How do I cut up a loaf or larger sized melt?

You can use a knife to cut up your bigger pieces of wax or a crinkle cut/ vegetable cutter works great!

How often should I change my wax melts?

Everyone’s answer is different to this.  Some people change it every day, while others every few days.  Some melts aroma last longer than others - when you can no longer smell the waxes fragrance, it’s time for a change.  You can also change anytime you want to try something different or new.
